The Boys

I have to say I love having boys. My boys, Kamden who is 2 and Karson who is 6.5 months old, are so much fun. Both have been to the doctor more times that I'd like to count in their lives but both of them are so "chill". They are happy, fun and loving boys.

Kamden is on his third ear infection since January. He had tubes put in his ears January 13, 2009 and the one in his right ear lasted one year - the average. His ENT dr said he might need a new one in his ear but we want if this too shall pass. After spending a Friday night at the Urgent Care Clinic in Cherry Creek, I am not so sure this will pass. He was put on Augmentin this time and I hope that after ten days it doesn't come back. After waking up at 12:30 am with 103.8 fever, some juice and some Tylenol, the fever breaks and my boys is sweating. However he is asleep and that is good. He wakes up at 6:30 ready to go for the most part. Still not himself but doing okay. He does not want his round of meds at 7 am. But like always, he deals and then smiles.

Karson has been in the hospital three times already in his short life not counting his birth. All are related to colds that turn into lung issues for him. He now has infant asthma and is on all kinds of fun meds.. The child has his Xopenex inhaler twice a day when he is coughing which he is now. He has his Alvesco twice a day no matter what - this helps control his asthma. He is on a Xopenex neb treatment three times a day for wheezing and also has oxygen on when he sleeps. Oh and he has reflux so he takes prevacid every day. My poor child is always taking something. Most of the time with a smile on his face. He is such a sweet, happy boy. However he does not like the tubes on his face while he sleeps from his oxygen.

This weekend Bailey is skiing in Winter Park. I spoke with her and she is going to be on the Greens all day tomorrow. She has grown into such a great skier. I wish I could be there to see her but next time. I am home with the boys!

Tonight will be a Pizza Hut night, finish the book The Help and go to bed early!
